I saw the trees fall down, felt the touch of someone’s hand
I went to where the water fell and found I couldn’t stand
But no-one saw me, no-one knew me, no-one felt the pain
No-one knows the pleasures when you’re drowning in the rain

Walking through the forest I came across the sea
Wide and cold and blue, it surrounded me
And sitting on my island I looked up at the sky
And squinted at the sand which fell about my eyes
And turning round I saw you there
Your face was drawn and white
And that was when the sky turned dark
So quickly came the night
Bent down in the sand I reached to touch the horrid ocean
And felt the touch of terror in your unspoken emotion
